Empangeni Baptist Church is excited to announce and welcome our new
Associate Pastor, Wesley Mortimer. Wesley grew up in the Eastern Cape
and came to know the Lord as His Saviour at age 13. At about 16 years
old he felt the call to ministry was able to pursue God's call on his
life some years later.
In 2003 he moved to Cape Town to attend the Cape Town Baptist Seminary
and completed his Bachelor in Theology in 2006. Some of Wesley’s
interests involve listening to live bands playing, fishing, and
watching movies. Apart from the Bible some of his favourite authors are
Mark Driscoll, John Piper and Wayne Grudem.
His favourite music is Jazz and Rock and his all time favourite band is Third Day. He is single and praying for a wife. Keep him in your prayers as he joins the church at this crucial and exciting time! Our prayer is that God will use him in mighty ways for His glory.
